US Environmental Protection Agency Awards New Monoclonal Antibody Contract to Help Develop First Tests for Aquatic Parasite
24 Aug 2010: Precision Antibody™ has been selected by the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to develop monoclonal antibodies to two species of Cryptosporidium (“Crypto”). This intestinal parasite has emerged over the past 20 years as one of the most common causes of waterborne illness in the United States but there isn't an effective test for detecting Crypto in water resources and no treatment.

New Probes for Directly Detecting Nucleotide-Protein Interactions
24 Aug 2010: Mant-ATP and Mant-GTP from AnaSpec are the fluorescent analogs of ATP and GTP where either the ribose 2’-hydroxy or the 3’-hydroxy group is esterified by the fluorescent methylisatoic acid. The highly environmentally sensitive fluorescence of Mant makes Mant-ATP and Mant-GTP useful probes for directly detecting nucleotide-protein interactions at Ex/Em=355/448 nm.
