Promega and Leica Microsystems Sign Agreement to Develop Fluorescent Ligands
13 Aug 2008: Promega Corp. announced that it has signed an agreement with Leica Microsystems to enable fluorescent imaging of proteins in live cells. Under the terms of the agreement, Promega will develop fluorescent ligands for its HaloTag fusion proteins, that will be used to label proteins within live cells so that they can be visualized with Leica’s TCS STED (stimulated emission depletion) superresolution microscope.

New Warmed Microscope Platforms
 06 Aug 2008: Warner Instruments has introduced NEW Warmed Platforms for 35 and 50 mm Petri Dishes, Glass Slides, and Chambered Slides. The WP-10 and WP-16 Warmed Platforms are constructed of aluminum to allow temperature control from 25° to 65°C and are available in 10 and 16 mm aperture sizes.
